What about a brain injury caused by your psychiatrist? Patients injured by #ECT have been let down with no advice of risk in consent forms, no adequate cognitive testing, poor regulation of treatment and no rehabilitation for cognitive impairment.

@benzosarebad It’s quite clear to me that pro #ECT psychiatrists want to keep these issues out of the public gaze. I can see why. Their abandonment of brain damaged patients is utterly despicable and wrong.

The bias is plain for all with eyes to see. These powerful people have nothing to say about poor quality research in favour of #ECT, and nothing to say about the dire state of regulation and safety monitoring of this dangerous procedure.
